There is so much to see and do throughout the year and autumn is no exception. We have events all week leading up to Remembrance Sunday when Stephanie will be laying the wreath on the Cenotaph including our steam trains recreating the war time evacuation, special features at the museum (entry £1-50) a history fair (£2 ) at The Royal Pavilion preceded on November 1st with an antiques fair (admission £1-20) Railway exhibition (free entry), Bill Basey Big Band on Saturday (£5) night November 7th. All proceeds to go to The British Legion and Help for Heroes.

The Llangollen Christmas Festival will start at noon on Saturday December 5th with Father Christmas arriving on the steam town and touring the town on his sleigh, a Christmas market with lots of stalls in a winter wonderland with guaranteed snow, Santa's Grotto, live music from brass bands and choirs, hot finger food and mulled wine and the switch on of the town lights by Lord Newborough at 5pm

Anchor Inn

This historical coaching inn has beamed ceilings and a log fire in the bar. It is a favourite for the locals as it offers a great menu at really bargain prices and cask beers. Chainbridge Hotel

If there is a better located hotel then we have still to find it!!!!. The Chainbridge Hotel is built right on the edge of the River Dee with the fast flowing white waters providing an ever changing scene from the large picture windows. A waterfall is opposite, as is Berwyn Station so you can watch heritage steam trains chugging past. The Llangollen Canal runs just past the rear of the hotel where horse-drawn boats ply up and down to the town. Since purchasing the hotel we have spent over £1 million on installing a brand new kitchen, new boilers, a complete new roof, a complete re-wire of the electrics and much, much more.
